Places to visit

Courtmoor Farm holiday cottages are set in the midst of the Blackdown Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our self-catering cottages provide an ideal base for couples and families wanting a relaxing get away from it all holiday, yet within easy reach of lots to do.

Award-winning Otter Valley Ice Cream is available in their Field Kitchen and is within a 5-minute drive.

Honiton, famous for its lace museum and antique shops, is a 10-minute drive. Jurassic coast beaches at Sidmouth, Exmouth, Lyme Regis, Budleigh Salterton, Dawlish, Beer and Branscombe are within a half-hour's drive.

There is a wealth of National Trust and English Heritage properties to visit. Otter Nurseries, The Donkey Sanctuary, Ferne Animal Sanctuary and the Thelma Hulbert Gallery are all nearby.

Taunton, the county town of Somerset and home of Somerset County Cricket ground, offers many places to visit including The Brewhouse Theatre, Vivary Park, the museum of Somerset and nearby Hestercombe Gardens.

Exeter, with its Cathedral, offers Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery (RAMM), Exeter University, Powderham Castle, underground passages and lots more.

Places to eat nearby include The Sidmouth Arms, The York Inn, The Flintlock Inn, The King's Arms, The Tuckers Arms, The Candlelight Inn, Honiton Wine Bar, JK's Bistro and Bird's Nest. Honiton has a varied selection of takeaways.
